  1. I just inherited an ATI TV wonder USB 2.0 tuner from a friend. I installed the driver and the ATI MMC. The device shows working properly under device manager on my WINXP home SP2 desktop. The MMC TV software allow me to scan for all available channels. But it is not displaying the picture. All I have is a see through square box for whatever channel I select. I was told by my friend that the ATI MMC software was never good and it failed on his box also from time to time. I tried vitual dub and I can see the TV channels no problem. However there is no audio at all. I was wondering if there is any other software that I can try with this Little uSB device.

The USB2 PVR with hardware encoding has wide PVR software support.

The software encoding USB TV Wonder has less support since it requires heavy CPU load.

  3. I could not get ATI MMC working properly on any of my computers. Windows 7's media center worked though.

  5. VirtualDub is fine for manual recording. I thought you were looking for PVR software.
