After following an earlier thread, I purchased an ati 600 usb stick, hoping to capture avi using virtualdub. Has anyone been able to get this to work using a Vista 32 bit system ? I've tried using the enclosed software disk, drivers from the Amd/Diamond websites, drivers from third party sites, all to no avail. Clicking on "Capure AVI" in vdub gives me the blue screen of death with text telling me that there is a conflict and my program has crashed.

    Anyone ?

    Works fine here.
Tested it in XP, Vista 32, Vista 64, Windows 7 64.

Thanks for the reply, your smurfiness.
What version of virtualdub are you using and where did you download your drivers ?

Aha !! Downloading the most recent version of vdub got it up and running. Are there any critical settings that I should be aware of before I get down to business ? Including but not limited to, codecs, bit rates, audio and the like. This will be predominantly vhs capture with the eventual output to standard dvd.
