One of the DVD ripper programs? Maybe? Check the tools section on the left for one of the rippers that will let you convert it to mpg or avi.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  3. I have made many films recorded in the format DVD+VR & AC3-audio with the following method:

    1) Record film(s) to DVD+RW on Philips DVDR890. Edit with remote control on DVDR890 if necessary.

    2) Rip the film from DVD+RW with DVDDecrytor 3.1.6.0 (don't use Smartripper at this step for recorded film if you edited it with remote control after recording)

    3) Rename *.vob to *.mpg

    4) Run Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2.0 (trial) -> add video files (*.mpg) -> edit/add chapters (in order to remove ads & unwanted portions) -> create DVD folder

    5) Rip the dvd film created from step 4 with Smartripper 2.41 (split file by every chapter)

    6) Rename again *.vob to *.mpg (of course without portions of ads)

    7) restart Ulead DVD MF 2.0 -> add video files -> create DVD folder
(NeoDVD 4 has some limits and compatible problems with other standalone DVD players)

    8) Burn DVD from the folder to DVD+R/-R with your favorite software.

    Success!

    Thanks for tips.
I've tried as you say using above method, but the problem,
    "VTS_01_1.mpg contains AC-3audio tracks, please convert...."etc

How did you manage to edit with AC-3 audio?

  5. Mr S,

Just click OK when you see those warnings. You cannot listen AC3-audio in DVD MF2 but it creates VOBs with AC3-audio if you check the option in the settings -> preferences -> "Do not convert compliant...".

    Grtz,
