Ok. I'm not a pro but I do want the best situation. I have 2 Lacie 1 TB drives... raid... with everything...one for raw footage... one for edited product.
Using a laptop with VegasPro 8
I've heard so many stories...
bottom line...
will FireWire 800 be better than 400 ?
Considering a FireWire800 ExpressCard for my laptop.

normal firewire bandwidth is about the same as a sata hard drive's STR. some faster drives like the 10K and 15K raptors would benefit more from FW800, but you might gain 10-20% better throughput with normal sata HDs.
