svcd playing problem

the problem i have is that everytime i play my svcd on my dvd player, there is always some "lagging" that goes on. when i watch it on my computer, everything is fine, no lagging, nothing. Question i have is that is the problem my "dvd player" or the "way i encoded my svcd".

Most likely the DVD player. I bought my mine a cheap Apex 1200A (just so she could rent videos). But I sent her some xSVCDs I made and they all kind of lagged/skipped on her player even thou they worked fine on my AD600A.

Esp if you made an xSVCD I would suspect the player. To be sure, try to play the disc on a few different players (friends or some stores demo units).
