  1. When I play the video file, the video resolution is messed up. The image is often divided into little squares but when playing some video files image is even worse. Here are some screenshots of the situation:

I noticed that since the problem appeared, Windows Media Player doesn't work anymore. I tried to play files in different video programs (VideoLAN (0.8.6f), GOM Player ...) but image is always messed up.

It is strange because it started only a few days ago and I've never had any problems with watching the SAME video files before. Firstly I thought that something was wrong with a particular file, but when I played other files I saw that all suddenly don't work properly.

I don't know why the problem appeared, but I can think only of one reason:
Lately I installed the Divx player and Streamplug player. Installing the Streamplug was a mistake - it is some kind of virus-spyware stuff. The player doesn't even work and you cannot uninstall it. So I deleted program folder in Program files and I opened the Registry Editor and searched for the files that contains the word StreamPlug and delete them all. I know it wasn't the best solution but it was really getting on my nerves (because it changed some right-click menus in Desktop). Maybe messing with Registry files is the reason of the problem ...

So any ideas what to do?

  2. Well I managed to get it work.

I cleaned my registry with RegistryBooster 2 (Great program.)
I installed codec "The Codecs 5.0 - 9x/ME/2000/XP (English)" (Codecs for everyday use.)
    And it worked.

    Here is the result:

Thanx for your quick help
