    tommybs,
This book will tell you just about everything in Premiere you need to know..

Of course you can use Premiere's built in help or you can go to the Adobe website and use the forums there. But be warned if you post an extremely general question like this, you more then likely will not get much of an answer, other then please read the help file first. The book in the weblink is something I still use alot well worth the money. But in a nutshell, You need to hook your camera up to the computer via firewire, open Premiere, and use the file menu, Capture, Movie capture... If your camera does not have a firewire port, well then you'll need to look into some form of capture card, then watch how much youll need this site! Good luck! BTW, if you got the Premiere off something like Kazza, it's most likely a butchered edition that will end up giving you problems.
