I captured an old VHS movie (Pink Floyd at Pompeji) and I_m trying to convert t´his to mpeg.Problem is, the frames are jumping visibly up and down (is this BOB?).
Is there any filter (Avisynth preferred, but I know how to work with VDib filters) or any way using avisynth to get rid of this problem?
Will deinterlace and reweave pr similar means work?

  2. Your problem is the frame rate that is set for the codec in premier.

Goto export time line, Movie, it will open a window, click in Setting, now click next at the botton, look for the frame rate can be 29.97, 23.xx etc, depending what you want.

if the frame rate is 1 and you can't change it, this is a problem cause normale by avisynth. You have to edit plug-in to corect that, is a bug.

but you can use the following guide and it work fine.

    Hope that help.......

Maybe I have to correct my wording:with jumpy I don't mean jerky playback, but the picture jumps up and down during playback.I.e. frame 1/2 start at line 1 frame 3/4 start at line 5 (or so) and 5/6 start at 1 again. The frame is going up and down and I think, this will generate problems for the encoder (because there is so much pseudo movement).
What I thought of imeanwhile is:deinterlace the video, make all frame halfsize and weave again. But I want to know if there is a better way do this.
The framerate is constant 25fps (PAL).
