VCD Help

I have tried using tmpgenc to convert avi to mpg and burn with nero to play in a stand alond dvd player. I have tried it a few different ways and still won't play ... my dvd players do support vcd and svcd so i am at a loss . Will someone give me some one on one how to do this i will even show you a text that i went by one of the times and it still doesn't work . I also used info from the vcdhelp maybe i am doing something wrong i don't know. thank you

Are you sure your DVD player can read CDR discs, or the specific media that you are using. Try making an audio CD and seeing if your DVD player can play that?

You can also d/load the demos (fairly small), burn and try to play them as a test. Click on VCD,SVCD, x(S)VCD to the left for the demo clips.
