i am a newbie and been using the trial version of tmpgenc to encode amovie but it took a whole day for a 2hour movie,is this normal?I have a Pentium 3 455mhz 128Ram with windows Me ..

Yes, considering your system specifications. Prcessor speed is one of the key factors in encoding with TMPGenc. I have a "fast" system and I would guess that if I used the same file and settings that you used (no matter what they are) my system would probably do the encoding in 2-4 hours.
