  1. Can anyone provide some help with this? I've been working on this problem for three days without any progress. I've tried authoring with Maestro and SpruceUp always remembering to specify either a menu or movie as a first play item. I've burned atleast five times with Nero and Primo using techniques described by the good folks in this forum.

The same problem happens every time. I put the disc in the tray, press play on the standalone player (JVC XV-S500), it'll read the disc and then I'll see the number "2" in the LED display on the player. The first play doesn't start. When I press play again it'll bypass the first play item and skip to the main movie. From there I can access the menu and everything seems to work ok.

I'm wondering if any has any tips on how I can get the disc to start automatically. Could it be my player? Would burning on a dvd-r instead of dvd-rw solve it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  2. Ok. Burned onto ultra cheap superdiscpro dvd-r and it works. Guess it was a dvd-rw problem.
