  1. @ProWo Thanks so much again for finding a fix for this issue so quickly, it's oh so greatly appreciated.

  2. @ProWo I just thought it was worth a mention, I noticed a speed difference between the initial 3.5.9.06 beta dated (20/10/2026 11:59PM) you provided via PM in that the 64.2 GB file loads instantaneously when importing into clever compared to the latest 3.5.9.06 beta dated (23/10/2026 3:55AM) you posted here https://files.videohelp.com/u/292773/clever_ffmpeg_gui_newest_beta.zip which takes between 3-5 seconds longer to load the same file, is it possible to optimise the code further during the file analysis so it behaves just as quick as the initial 3.5.9.06 beta?

This is because the first fix skips the scan type detection after the first error, but gives no scan type result.

The final fix ínstead does the correct scan type detection and this takes a little time.

  4. @ProWo I noticed that the link for the info for the tonemapping filters is broken the clickable "here" doesn't appear to do anything at all, I believe it was working at some point but the official v3.5.9 & latest 3.5.9.06 beta release no longer work.

  7. @ProWo
    3.6.0 feedback

Scan for errors does not add HWA decoding in the ffmpeg code like:

    FFmpeg.exe -hwaccel amf -hwaccel_output_format amf -i "C:\input.mkv" -f null -

    It always use:

    FFmpeg.exe -i "C:\input.mkv" -f null -

    3.6.0 feedback 2

    - The source file & path does not get add to the ffmpeg preview code for video encoding and video adjustments.

    FFplay.exe -ss 112 -vst 0 -ast 1 -vf fps=24000/1000,scale=854:480,drawtext=text='%{pts\:hms}:font file=C\:/Windows/Fonts/segoeui.ttf:fontsize=18:box=1:x=(w-tw)/2:y=h-(2*lh)' -sn ""

    - The cut page does not save FFplay as your default player for search any longer when you reopen the page.
And the help page does not have additional infos for Frame accurate cut in combination with virtualdub.

    - The grid scroll bar arrow has background colour other than white.

EDIT: - How about switching position of Video encoding, Deinterlace and Interlaced, which is more common and to remove the gap in the list?

Thx. Can you confirm that -hwaccel amf -hwaccel_output_format amf is faster than -hwaccel amf only on your system?
Here with me the error scan is faster without the hw accelerated decoding (99x vs 71.5x).

I changed it that way on purpose; I've found that VirtualDub 2 is more accurate when it comes to keyframe detection.

I can't reproduce that here. Tested with different DPI settings (100%, 125%, 150%).

I think that most users want progressive output, and that's why deinterlacing interlaced sources takes priority here.

On my system, -hwaccel amf -hwaccel_output_format amf is as fast as -hwaccel amf.
And the error scan is faster without the hw accelerated decoding (32.8x vs 19.7x).
But my AMD Ryzen 5 7530U has a slow Vega 7.

Okay. To clarify. I mean the black background next to (or below) the arrow key.

I’ve got that on the Intel system as well.
In older versions, a grey background was used.

I also have grey and green.

But it’s no big deal. I just noticed it.

Maybe you need to update your Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package.

    Info:
Select or drag the iso. You get a message if is sucessfully mounted.
Then select your m2ts file for further processing.
Closing clever, the mounted ISO is automatically dismounted.
Just tested. Clever always asks to execute PowerShell, but not sure if the process is working. I think I'll keep using MakeMKV, I guess additional software is required for the GUI Thanks anyway.

Clever uses a PowerShell command to mount and dismount the ISO.
PowerShell is not additional software, but rather a part of the Windows operating system.

Thx. The C++ Redists are up to date. But a restart fixed the problem!

Thanks for your latest corrections and changes.
The items mentioned are now working and looking good.

Restarting my Intel system also fixed the problem with the size of the arrow keys on the scrollbar!?
