I need all the Nero 9 template packs badly!!

To whoever is reading this right now,

I remember the days when I used Nero 9 software for fun back in 2019 (yeah, I know, it's old, but think of me as a vintage software collector, and I use a VM (VirtualBox) to manage old software). I especially liked the templates, and I swear I had them before. This year, I've been trying far and wide to find them again, but to no avail. The current Nero site does NOT date back to the downloads for Nero 9. I successfully found the URLs to the template packs on another forum site, but they all just send me to this:

I tried using the Wayback Machine to try and find a workaround, but they didn't capture all of the URLs I tried.
Now I am posting a question on a forum to ask if someone has the Nero 9 template packs by miracle and send them to me (yes, I'm that desperate enough to try this now)

I will try and thank whoever gives me the now hard-to-get packs.

I got them from Nero. I have bought multiple versions of Nero over the years including version 9. The files were from 2011.

Holy crap, that's nuts! What a shame that Nero decided to cut all ties to their older software and now only allows downloads from 2017 onward...what a shame on their part, tbh.

I see you're a big fan of Nero as well! XD

Also, another question...I REALLY want to know what the music behind the Classic Frames template in Nero 7. It was so royal and epic, and then Nero decided to replace it with sloppy wedding-like music from Nero 8 onward lol. I know it's kind of a stretch, but I wanna ask you since I'm already on this thread. It really has been a mystery to me and Shazam lol. Other template music is good for me as well, so gather all you can!

Hello - I've only discovered this thread after much fruitless searching on Google and contacting Nero. I would be most grateful for any help and advice you can offer. Here is the situation:

I have been using Nero 9 (the full suite) since it was lauched and I found it great to use and I've had no problems with it until now.

Recently I had to replace my hard drive with a new Win 10 one then reinstall all of my apps including Nero 9. However, the program appears to have changed - I didn't select a custom installation - just went for the full set of programs. However Nero 9, as I said, seems different. I can no longer use my own jpg images on audio CD ROM discs or even the disc templates that were available. Plus I can no longer print directly to the CDs in my colour printer.

I have downloaded and installed all of the Nero 9 Menu and Movie Templates as suggested by johnnyquid and they installed perfectly and can be seen in the correct Windows Nero Templates folder. But the Nero 9 ControlCenter shows them as not being installed and I cannot find any way to access these. I have tried the usual (probably pointless) steps of unistalling and reinstalling Nero 9 and the Templates mentioned above but to now avail

I would really appreciate any help or advice as I have enjoyed Nero 9 and would hate to have to get rid of it.

I don't know if this will help & I do not have Windows 10 or Nero 9.
1. Set the Nero installer in Compatibility mode for Windows 7 or maybe Vista.
2.Run the Nero installer as Administrator.
3.If that does not fix the problem.Try setting each file in Program Files/Nero in Compatibility mode to Windows 7.
Also if you are using a 64-bit Windows 10 is the Nero 9 you have for a 64-bit OS?
Same for 32-bit. Maybe Nero 9 is for both.

Sadly none of your suggestions worked. I am still at a loss as to why the Nero 9 is different from when I first installed it. Admittedly I was using Windows 7 (I think) when I bought it. As I said earlier, I had to reinstall in on my Win 10 laptop and it installed without any problems - it just behaves completely differently. Tried asking Nero but the curt reply was 'we don't support this version any more'.

You could try creating a Windows 7 virtual machine and installing Nero 9 on it.

Hi johnnyquid. I wouldn't have the first idea how to do that - furthermore, I would be worried that I created problems for myself. I looks like I'll have to live with this until I find a better program that does what Nero used to do.

If you know how to work with a virtual machine then try johnnyquid's suggestion.
I never had much success with a virtual machine so I gave up on them.

What I do is create a separate partition & install an actual OS.
This gives a computer a dual boot.
I'm still using Windows 7 as my"newest" OS but my other OS on it is Vista.

That's the thing, I don't know how to work with a virtual machine - I'm not that computer savvy. I get by with what I know but that's about. Still I'd be interested to know whey Nero 9 behaves differently on Win 10.

The latest Nero I have is version 7 & it is installed on Vista.

cholla - thanks for those links. I came across those during my tireless search for answers. I looks like I'm going to have to live with Nero 9 in its new Win 10 version until I find something better. A program like to old Nero 9 that lets me use my own design for cds and allows me to print directly to my printer.

In the past I have ran into issues with a damaged install/update to Nero that didn't allow proper installation or uninstall once it was borked. It sounds like you need a standalone Nero uninstall tool to remove all leftovers from a damaged install. Nero has had various official standalone removal tools for their software over the years. At one time it was called Nero CleanTool and the last I knew it goes by Nero FirstAidKit. The Nero FirstAidKit might help. I make no guarantee that it will. You can try it and/or contact Nero and request assistance.

I looked & I have a version of NeroCleanTool.
Whether it will work on Windows 10 I do not know.

My next suggestion is if your old hard drive is still good.
If you can install it is an external case or use just an adapter cable.
Then try to boot into your old Windows 7.

Hopefully my final update. I created a new folder - C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Nero\Nero Productinstaller 4 - then copied and pasted the Setup.xml file into it then (with some trepidation) I reinstalled Nero 9. Thankfully it worked but I am now back to square 1.
