What for?! They discuss plugins for IPTV (Internet), and not satellite (DVB-S/S2) as fuge has issues.
Just to confirm: The USB hard disk must have a separate power supply, as the USB itself may not power it sufficiently, especially when recording channels with high bitrate, HD.
I never tried to record to a flash drive but I expect everything depends on the port and drive speed capability. So you need to check their tech spec.

Unfortunately, there does not appear to be any option to install a plugin. However, the most recent recording with the external USB hard drive was ok so maybe the problem has gone away for some reason. The discussion at the link was quite interesting as there were a number of possible explanations mentioned for the lack of audio/video synch.

Signal breakdown on a USB satellite recording from an Amiko set-top box, while the live program remains uninterrupted, could be due to several factors. One common issue is a problem with the USB storage device itself, such as insufficient write speed or a fragmented file system, causing interruptions in recording. Another possibility is that the set-top box might not be handling the recording process efficiently due to firmware or software glitches. Additionally, signal issues could arise if the box has trouble maintaining a consistent signal strength while writing data to the USB drive, even though live playback is unaffected. Ensuring your USB drive is properly formatted and has adequate speed, updating the set-top box firmware, and checking for any signal interference can help address this issue.

Thank you for your response and for your list of possible explanations.
We are now using an externally powered USB drive and do not notice any signal interruptions during playback. Insufficient write speed or a fragmented file system do not seem to be the source of the problem as the original flash drive was USB 3 and newly purchased. The set-top box not handling the recording process efficiently seems to me to be a possible explanation as there is quite often a remaining problem where the audio and video are obviously not synchronised.
