A better organized and up-to-date Japanese tutorial page would be this:

Hi!
Finally, after some days using AviUtl, I achieved that kind of 3D view of the videos I showed on my first post (#684, pg 23).
I thought it was a trick of the camera control, but I used the Group control to make the movements for all elements.
I attached the project file and the result.
*EDIT: I attached another attempt I made. This time I used a png HUD circle. I used Mask to separate in 2 and Wipe to make them appear. Looks like the effects applied to HUDs in AE.Last edited by Gisselle_145; 13th Jul 2017 at 14:18.

New Object Tracking Plugin available
New CSV to EXO conversion tool available
I have overlooked one important thing... the best neural network object tracker is OUR BRAIN. So, in light of this enlightenment, I made
https://github.com/MaverickTse/AviUtlManualTracking
This plugin simply logs you mouse position w.r.t. the frames' coordinate, than write out the data to plain CSV.
This plugin does not give EXO directly. I decided to make the conversion part a separate tool because EVERY tracking plugin need this step, so don't bother to re-invent the wheel.
To convert the CSV, use the bundled python script, but note that it needs Anaconda 4.4 to run (utilized Numpy, PANDAS, pyplotlib)
The executable can be downloaded from the GitHub Release Page.
There are no special dependency except the usual VC2015 runtimes and DirectX

【End of Support Notice】
Supporting AviUtl and OSS in general gave me nothing in return.
Doesn't help to get me a job, and donations can't cover maintenance and server fees.
In light of BIG loss with my AviUtl book in Hong Kong (~USD$6000), I'll stop all support for AviUtl and would no longer develop other soft without guaranteed returns.
My wp site will be shut down by the end of 2017 if I still got no employment by then.

Been using AVIUTL for a long time yet I haven't been able to figure it out.
Iv'e been trying to get an audio spectrum something like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qK_NeRZOdq4
But the spectrum [waveform] ends up being so fast and not smooth, like how it only reacts to the bass, and instead of if the bass is high, the waveform remains high, in AVIUTL it goes updown updown updown updown updown updown updown With constant bass, is there any soultions?
Thanks! -
Hello, I'm the new user of Aviutl, and I have got some trouble while I was editing. At firstly when I put the original video into aviutl, the picture and sound attach perfectly, but after I split about 15~20 times the sound and picture are not play at same time anymore the sound always came up 1~2 second earlier than the picture. And I hardly to find solution on internet it seems like nobody really getting trouble with this or maybe it's my recording program's problem?[my recording program is Bandicam] can anyone help me to solve this problem?
P.S: I have already tick VBR-->CBR.
Thank you.[ first time posting text on this website, so if I post to the wrong place or said something wrong please tell me and I will delete this message ] -
[Attachment 44243 - Click to enlarge]
Did you mean this one, but I didn't see it's CFR or VFR[thank for correct the words] have got any idea about it? -
AVI is always CFR - so that' s not the problem
I don't know what the problem is, but it might be long-gop h264 in AVI container. The AVI container can have problems with long gop formats and seeking; sometimes frames get mixed up or you get green frames. Eitherway it's can pose problems unless you record in I-frame
So you might try remuxing into a different container like MKV (mkvtoolnix) first, before editing
You might be able to save your work / edits by just replacing the clip (not sure) , depending on how you have the project set up. -
Hi! I got an issue here.
Aviutl has been working well but when I select Custom object > RingWaveform@tetsu-EN or ConcentricRing@tetsu-EN doesn't appear anything in the preview screen. Is there some way to fix it? I can modify the tetsu-EN.obj file if necessary, I just need some guide.
Any help will be useful. Thanks. -
My .mp4 files won't load... x264 is in use and the files use H.264...

@Approximately - that should open . Are there any error messages ? What happens exactly when you try to import ?
1) rename the file to english characters only eg. "test.mp4"
2) make sure l-smash import plugin priority is higher (2nd , just below the project file reader ) . File=> settings=> import plugin priority. -

Hello. Bit of a bump here.
I have a question about color space. I recorded a video with OBS with UV12 format, 709 full range, and the colors look like I want when I play it back.
However, when I open the file in AviUtl, the colors look too dark, like this.
It looks fine before opening it with AviUtl, so what's wrong?
By the way, Maverick, if you're still around, thanks for all your work on this. Without you, English speakers wouldn't know about this great software. I hope you have time to work on this again some day. -
Hi!
I'm getting a issue here. I downloaded Rigaya's Nvidia encoder. I installed it, but I can't render, and I can't understand the error. Btw, I have the last graphic driver. I have a Asus Rog Strix GTX 1060 6Gb. Processor AMD Ryzen 7 1700x. If someone can help me I will thank A LOT. -
I was working on a video using aviutl and started getting this error when I try to do anything in the Advanced Editing window.
It applies to all projects, even new ones.
I can work with objects in a scene just fine.
Does anyone know what the cause of this is and how to fix it?
EDIT: Did some digging and finally came across a solution. It was right in front of me the whole time.

Not sure if anyone'll see this, but I seem to be having a problem that I don't understand.
So basically, I've drawn sth, I've exported to png files (I've experimented with different resolutions/dpis) and this error message comes up "Failed to read image file";
[Attachment 56288 - Click to enlarge]
I've tested it with a transparent png file (from picrew, if it makes any difference) w/ the properties in the image below - and this works...
[Attachment 56287 - Click to enlarge]
I don't understand what's wrong, maybe I should makes sure it's cel-shaded instead of blending things?? but then I'd probably have to make sure the outline is also in that style
For more context, I'm using Clip Studio Paint Pro for my drawing, and the Aviutl Extra Pack 1-10 [btw, I've tried downloading the newest version of Aviutl from the site, but instead of Japanese, it just shows me a bunch of characters shown in a screenshot below (this is from the current version I'm using, on the mentioned version, literally everything is like this)]
[Attachment 56289 - Click to enlarge]
I've attempted to use Blender (and a couple other freewares?), but since I have little-to-no experience w/ video editing, I feel like Aviutl is a better place to start for my purposes...[will probably try in Blender etc. in the mean time]
Oh yeah, also my computer only has 2GB RAM, so....I 'feel' like Aviutl works, and exports a little bit faster?? -
What are the properties of the one that does not work ?
In aviutl you can try changing the import plugin priority (file => settings => import plugins directory) . You can try moving the JPG/PNG reader higher up the list. You might have to close and restart to take effect
You can try re-writing the PNG with another tool, either into another PNG, or another format like AVI or MOV, then importing into aviutl . Try vdub2 . File => Export => Image sequence
You can try other free editors like shotcut - easy to use, many tutorials . Davinci Resolve is probably to resource heavy for you, not enough ram -
I've tried EP1-10 again and PNG should work out-of-the-box. Make sure you do not swap any program or plugins from elsewhere. You may post a sample of your failing PNG file for us to test.
If you use the Japanese version, you have to set your system codepage to Japanese, have the font for Japanese, in order to properly show any Japanese character. If you can read Japanese anyway, then there's no need to use the packages here.Stopping development until someone save me from poverty or get me out of Hong Kong...

You need to FLATTEN your image (in photoshop language). No layer, No fancy feature, typical RGBA. or you may also try BMP. Try opening your PNG with IrfanView and save it to another file.
2GB RAM is WAY under spec. You need to close all other programs to do any video/Image editing, and still the experience will be PITA. Minimum will be 4GB.
Personally I do not recommend DaVinci Resolve because it crash like crazy on all of my machines... Ryzen-Radeon PC, ASUS laptop...Stopping development until someone save me from poverty or get me out of Hong Kong...

Thank you both for replying!
I've changed the language to install the other version again, and the Japanese characters are appearing properly - the image files also seems to work through that version (again, I don't rly understand why....but it's working)
Honestly, I'm not too confident about reading Japanese - my Chinese also kinda sucks so I can't tell if kanji is easier/harder to understand sometimes - but I think I'll manage -
It seems that my old OneDrive links are dead, so here is the new link to the folder hosting those plugins:

People keep asking me for MotionTracking MK II on Twitter from time to time... but honestly, you better use Blender (the 3DCG soft) for the feature.Stopping development until someone save me from poverty or get me out of Hong Kong...

Hey there, longtime user of Aviutl and want to thank you for your extra pack! I recently changed my capturing hardware and software for N64 and just used Aviutl with a new recording for the first time and noticed that it seems to be using partial color range instead of full color range. I used x264 to encode and tried using the command "--fullrange on" in the extended tab of x264 plug in settings but it lead to an error saying File export failed. Do you know a way to ensure full color range? I also would be interested to know if there was a way to make sure it is on full while editing because even before I encode it looks like Aviutl itself is showing partial color range and I can't find out how to change it.
The first image is from the original raw OBS recording that has the correct color range, the second one is from after encoding with x264 plug in, and the third is from using the "Copy Rendered Image to Clipboard" function in Aviutl which leads me to believe Aviutl is showing partial color range instead of full. I also want to note that the OBS video is using BT.709 color space and I have the import and export settings on Aviutl as BT.709 as well. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I really want to continue using Aviutl.
edit: the first image is named "rawobspartial" incorrectly, it should be "rawobsfull" just tested to confirm it was on full color range setting.Last edited by caivs; 14th Feb 2021 at 00:02.

Anyone successfully installed Ut Video Codec 20.5.1 or higher in Windows 7 x64 and played correctly in Aviutl?
I believe 20.5.1 is the last supported Windows 32bit release.
20.5.1 seemed to install ok and playable in Windows Media Player or VLC player but not within Aviutl 1.1. Wondering why...??
BTW, I have Ut Video Codec 14.2.1 installed and it works fine in Aviutl. Just wanted to do an upgrade.
Thanks!
