Have you tried re-installing DirectX and the ASPI Layer.
I run XP and DVDx runs great once I install the ASPI.

I just installed DVDx, ASPI 32bit, and the Pioneer plugin. DVDx works fine until just before it starts to encode, then my pooter shutsdown??
I gave up trying to fix it. Installed SmartRipper, DVD2AVI, and TMPEG. But, I"m not very happy with the quality, maybe I should up the bitrate..of course I'm a total noob to all of this. But, i'd like to see DVDx work, and play with that as well.
thanks in advance.Joachim2311 -
This happened to me when I tried to encode a movie and I had the "Shutdown the computer when job is done option" selected. I got an error message, then the computer just shut down.DVDx works fine until just before it starts to encode, then my pooter shutsdown??
If you have the shutdown option enabled, try disabling it.
