    I get this popup everytime my cursor touches a video icon. Sometimes it goes away (stops popping up)for months, then comes back. What the farks going on? lol. My brain is fried.

    Maybe because windows tries to show a thumbnail and something crashes randomly. You could try disable it, https://forum.videohelp.com/topic350462.html#1844492

    you might want to scroll down the error message and see what program is crashing. some resident service like divx, haali media splitter, any of several others is trying to get info or show a preview of the media files. find out which one and get rid of it.

    That worked. thnx. Dont really need the previews I guess. Wonder if ffdshow is the problem.. hmm. anyway, thnx, it was buggn me.

    "theDog" about 10 chars in...? see that? that means the dog did it..
    So shoot the dog..and dont let him near your puter.

    ?????? Check your stash, someone might have tainted it. There is no "dog" anywhere in the error message or I'm missing your sense of humor. Either way I'll just turn off preview and eventually get rid of ffdshow and see if thats one of the culprits.
