  1. Hello to all! I have a MP4 video with side black bars that I want to remove but I don't know how. Some people say handbrake or freemake but I don't know how to use any of them. Any suggestions I need some help with this. I would appreciate it

  5. If you don't want to spend a lot of time just use Handbrake. Open your video, verify the cropping is OK, pick a preset, encode.

  6. So you leave video and audio as copy and format Avi?

It can take anywhere from minutes to hours depending on what settings you specify. All the free editors use the same encoders so the difference in speed is mostly the difference in encoder settings used.

Avidemux is full or bugs and will likely crash before you can complete your encoding.

The video audio and container field. I'm lost

  10. If you're happy with the original except for the black bars, then open the original in MediaInfo and check out the video and audio specs. Choose ones in AviDemux as close to the original as possible.

    Avidemux IS the simpler way.

Did you get MediaInfo? Use MediaInfo to find the info you need. You have to make some effort first, then post back to get more advice.
