I would like to synchronize the audio from a movie but I have not found information about it or have failed to find it. My English is not very good , so I find it difficult to find information. I refer not only to give a delay to the audio but also when to change the fps or edit the audio to suit the original version (=english versión). DVD 25 fps to Bluray 23.976 fps. Thank you.

Some software players like MPC-HC have adjustable audio delay/advance. When you get the correct setting, write it down then input that to a video editor that has sync offset adjustments. Of course this only works when the audio and video are just offset.

The other common sync problem is when the audio and video are different lengths. Then you adjust the length of one or the other.

Or, worst case, a combination of both problems.

I will try to explain it better.
I have two films, one DVD (spanish, english audio) and one on Blu-ray (english only). They are the same movie, but fps are different. Also the DVD movie has at the beginning an animation of the Distributor that does not have the version on Blu-ray. Therefore even though I change the fps will continue to remain a desynchronization. What I want to do is put the spanish version DVD audio (25 fps) in Blu-ray version (23.976) and sync. I know how to rip them but don't know how to do the audio assembly.

Do you know any tutorial explaining how to do that?

  4. Try use Audacity -> Effects -> change speed -4.27094% (25 fps -> 23.976 fps). Then cut off the intro. You could use the DVD and BD enlish tracks to measure. And you're sure there is no extra secenes on BD?

Check the running time of both the audio and the video and see how much they differ. Audio doesn't care about fps, only running time.
But audio from a different source rarely has the same running time as the video you want to add it too.

You can use MediaInfo to probably see the length of both files.

Thank you. I'll try what you say. A question, in this web page, is there any thread speaking about this topic?
