  1. using dvdx2.0 I have ripped to 3 mpeg2 files .when burnt to svcd with nero i think the quality has been lost to much.I had suggested to me i use easy cd and used the existing mpeg2 already ripped .no improvement.
can I improve on the mpeg2 files I already have or shoould I reencode in a different manner. I want the simplest and easiest quickest with quality.

What is the source ? - DVD Rip. If it is then just use TMPGEnc (easy) or CCE (tougher) to encode - then use Nero but don't let it reencode (if you create a non-standard VCD or SVCD). If you have crap mpeg files then reencode them from the origial VOB's (DVD Rip) - you cannot improve the quality of them by reencoding again (infact you;ll make themmuch worse - just delete them and start again).

Did Nero re-encode the files? DVDx should create compliant files, so it shouldn't have to encode them again. You may want to double check all the settings in DVDx also.
