    No, that didn't work, as the only playback options are PAL and SECAM..not NTSC playback, even though it does playback NTSC. Weird...I am going to buy an LG NTSC playback VCR from eBay...

    VCRs sold in PAL countries output PAL60 when playing back an NTSC tape. PAL60 uses 525 lines at 60 Hz – the only difference to "real" NTSC is the color modulation which is PAL.

    So all you need to do is tell your capture device the incoming signal is PAL60. This is usually a problem because only few capture devices know what PAL60 is...
