    I've been working on a project to fix a dvd that had some errors in it. I'm trying to author the new disc to act exactly like the old one.

    This disc has a movie with 2 audio tracks, and the way the disc work is that on the first menu, you select which audio program you want to listen to, which then takes you to the track listing menu for that audio. The problem is, I can't seem to find a way to author a dvd to do this, because I would need something to actually set the audio.

    On the first menu, I can have the button go to a menu, or set the audio, but not both. I can select audio and have it go to the next menu, but I don't necessarily want the next menu, only one of the options should go to the next menu, the others go to different menus. So, I can't seem to set the audio there.

    Then on my track listing menu, I have the play all function, or the chapters listed, which I can set to go to the movie, or a chapter in the movie. But, once again, I can't set these buttons to select the audio.

    Dvd lab pro 2 seems to be setup such that they want me to make a separate menu for audio selection, or have a common track listing menu for all audio selections. Yet, the disc I am trying to re-create, doesn't work this way.

    If dvd lab pro 2 would just let me have a button do 2 things, set audio AND go to a chapter or specific menu, it would fix everything.

    Is there a way I can make dvd lab pro 2 do this?

    Most dvds I have seen have a seperate menu for audio selection. How could an end user otherwise select it ?

    It is the action of the menu button that selects the audio stream but then there is an end action. That defaults to restarting the same menu but, as you say, can be set to running the 'next' menu.

    You misunderstand the term 'next' in this context. Here is a series of menus.

    Menu1 = Main Menu
    Menu2 = Audio Selection (accessed from Menu1)
    Menu3 = Song etc. Selection

    Menu3 could be accessed direct from Menu1 (Menu1 would also access the 'Play All' playlist). But Menu3 is also the 'next' menu in the number chain after Menu2 and the end action 'next menu' will mean you go there.

    Dvdlab isnt a multi vm instructor ... pgcedit is the tool to use to fix these problems after you finish dvdlab authoring.

    As for what sets the audio:

    The menu (or buttons) preceding the vts title indicate unique gprm/sprm values for each given track, then jumps.

    Vts title precommands include "IF" statements where given gprm/sprm values received have new additional instructions to perform ... ie set track2 and play.

    This of course is via pgcedit.
