    Hello there.

    How do I compress a 20gb HD .mov file on ffmpegx to burn to dvd and to upload online, without losing any quality? I've tried a few things but it seems the file is too big for ffmpegx. Or maybe you could suggest another application that would be best.

    I'm not very tech savvy, so a step by step guide would be greatly appreciated.

    like you've found it can't be done. first you're going from HD to SD size and also reducing the bitrate to fit on a disc that hold only a bit over 4gb.
