  1. Had problems burning using DVD shring with Any DVD running in background on:
    Iron Man 2
    Twilight Eclipse
    Socerer's Apprentice
Had to resort to using Clone DVD which got the job done.
Why is Shrink having a problem all of a sudden.
Have used it countless times to do backups with perfect results.

Obviously user error(meaning YOU).....since DVDShrink is not having any problems with the discs....it's AnyDVD doing all of the work.

  3. Why so hostile?
Burnt hundreds of dvd's no problem. Not doing anything different and it's user error. I don't think so pal.
It seems to be just the newest hits as others burn fine.

Well since the last CloneDVD update was two months ago....your logic is severely flawed. Not quite as flawed as the other guy who insists that installing a barrage of codecs(k-lite) solved his backup problem...but pretty damn close.

Are you ripping the movie to the hard drive first with the built-in ripper within AnyDVD? That's the recommended method with newer movies that have a lot of structural protection if you want to use DVDShrink as the compression program.

hech, I thought that was what the guides were for.

How's AnyDVD working for you guys out there? I went to DVDFab and haven't looked back.

The Last Airbender did necessitate an upgrade and some patience to pull off.

I use AnyDVD. I was an early-bird to AnyDVD. It's not my only tool but then again I don't blame my head for what my ass is doing either.

  9. Guys I usually do the dvd authorization then put it to the HD. After that I burn using nero.
Airbender gave me some fits also.
DVD Shrink wouldn't even start to authorize the dvd.....the doesn't recognize dvd came up right away.
On some of the forums people say the popular DVD's have a new copyguard that is hard to bypass.
I don't know why I get it done using Clone DVD, I was hoping to find an answer here.

Again....you are using terms that make no sense. You obviously jumped into the middle without learning the process
and how stuff works from start to finish.
Of course DVDShrink alone will NOT work on new DVDs without help. AnyDVD running in the background should enable DVDShrink to do it's job but on the other hand I don't blame the makers of AnyDVD for not ensuring it's product works in conjunction with someone elses 8 year old(?) product.
AnyDVD is a ripper(besides being able to decrypt in the background)...it does not compress the video.
DVDFabDecrypter(the free portion) is a ripper....it does not compress the video.
You use a ripper......THEN open it in DVDShrink if you need to compress or re-author. DVDShrink opens DVD folders too...and ISO images.
