Hello, I am receiving IPTV broadcast in my LAN and i wounder if it wold be possible to play somehow without set-box. Are there any TVs supporting IPTV transmitting available?

Is this a commecial service? an internal Lan broadcast? Do you know if it is encrypted?

This is LAN broadcast, it is free package delivered from local provider. It is commercial and not encrypted.

As it is free a do not have set top box in package. I would like to buy one, however if it is possible to buy television with this functionality, I prefer to handle it that way.

What is the make and model of the set top box? There may be specialized TV sets out there but a TV with an Ethernet interface would still need to have support firmware or software for your particular IP service. If the signal is unencrypted, best to ask the provider if there are other reception options.

Default device from provider is STB Motorola VIP-1963.

In order to receive tv broadcast on my computer I just installed latest VLC player and enabled Network streams (SAP) detection. There were not any further setting required by what I assume that there is not any additional software required.

Those set top boxes seem to be selling for under 100 euros. It should be noted that the motorola boxes support DLNA to which many HDTV sets will connect. It may be possible for one box to feed several HDTV sets via DLNA.

Future HDTV sets will include Ethernet and operating sytems running software like GoogleTV + Apps. With that infrastructure, an IPTV App could be added easily. Until then, IPTV would need to be supported in the TV firmware.
