Some time ago, I recorded a file with VLC (mpeg-ts) in HD, but the file seems corrupted. The file plays fine in VLC, but other programs won't play it (including Media player classic).
Tried plenty of different editing programs (to cut the beginning/end), but 99% of them couldn't even open it.
After trying to convert the mpeg-ts to mpeg-ps with VLC, I can open it with Media Player Classic, but the audio has dissapeared...
I'm looking for a way to fix it or a program that can handle the file.
Here is a 30s extract. Could anybody please have a look?

What you have is h.264 video and aac audio in an mpeg transport stream file. I had no problem playing the extract with MPCHC, VLC, and KMPlayer, and WMP. I don't think there's anything wrong with the file. You probably just don't have your system set up properly to play it (you need a TS file reader and the appropriate codecs).
If all you want to do is cut editing try TsSniper or h264ts_cutter.Last edited by jagabo; 12th Mar 2010 at 10:00.
