Hi everyone
I have just brought a second hand JVC HR-S8700EK S-VHS Video Recorder for doing some video transfer and the colour and quality is fantastic.
This problem is I keep getting what appear to be random black lines appearing.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Any help is much appreciated

If they're single lines streaking away from high contrast edges in the picture, they're due to head wear - either on the original record deck, or on this playback deck.

 Otherwise, no idea.

(your image isn't showing here). EDIT: now it is! Yes, worn heads.

 Cheers,
 David.

First impression is worn heads to me as well. Would look at replacing these and if it's worth it for you.
