    Is there a way to convert a DVD movie to Divx? What is the best guide to convert a DVD to SVCD? Thanks.

    Find a program called "Rippack". You should change the language to English in options. I use it to rip the DVD too as it has never failed. Have a poke about with the DivX settings - try reducing the maximum key frame interval to 50 or so, as this seems to boost quality loads.

    Give it a go and see how you like it.
