    How do I just encode (not preview) 1 minute, starting at minute 2? I want to check the product will run on my Apple TV, need to try 20 different combinations and canīt wait 9 hours per iteration!

    Either cut a 1 minute clip out of your source file, or use the command line.
    Those options are no longer in the GUI.

    OMG. What an obvious thing to want to do. It was *taken out*?? LOL. Transcoding is *such* a funny hobby. Thanks any way.

    Actually, the XviD mencoder and DivX mencoder preset have a checkbox for a 5 second test clip in the Options tab.
    That checkbox is grayed out for all ffmpeg presets.
    I don't recall exactly how/when that changed compared to previous versions.
