I bought an Aiptek A-HD camcorder that takes video in H.264 format. I uploaded the videos onto my computer (.mov files) and they play back fine in Apple Quicktime 7.0 (free version upload), however, when I try to import the video files in Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0 it gives me an error - "Unsupported format or damaged file". Premiere elements says is supports .mov file type.........why won't this work? Does it have something to do with the H.264? HELP!!!

It's probably because of the h264. Is adobe premiere elements included with the camera? or does it come with some other editor or nothing?
You could reconvert with quicktime pro or mpeg streamclip but I would try find a editor that support h264 mov directly. -
The camera came with Photo Impression 5, but only does photo editing, not video. I already had Premiere Elements that I purchased seperately last year.

The latest versions appear to support h.264 mov files. You may want to contact adobe to see if there are any updates to whichever version you are using or you may need to upgrade.
