    A lot more info needed.

Open the file your trying to import in MediaInfo and post the results (from text view) here.
    Also what version of premiere?

  4. He means what version of premiere (e.g. Premiere Pro CS5 , Premiere Pro 2 etc..)

If you install ffdshow and enable h.264/avc in the ffdshow vfw configuration (yellow icon) it should import the video

Another approach you could try is re-wrap the video into another container e.g. yamb to re-wrap into mp4 , or tsmuxer to re-wrap into .m2ts

    Thanks for the advice

This is all greek to me but I will try and download the ffdshow and see how far I can get. Is that a program I run the clip through and it converts it in some way?

  6. no , ffdshow in this context is just a decoder

the other option listed above just "repackages" the contents into another container (think of putting the audio & video into another box , because premiere doesn't "expect" that type of video in an AVI container or "box" , it expects that type of video & audio in another type of container)

If all those fail, then you could convert it to a compatible format, but you still haven't answered the question which version of premiere ?

  7. Sorry guys, I'm also having issues with my desktop which I go online with. My version of Adobe Premiere is 7.0. I'm going to try some of the suggestions you have given today and see if I can work some of the magic you guys have shared. NOt sure what I'm doing but will take a stab at it. Thanks!

  8. I was able to convert one of my files to an MPEG4 using Yamb but Adobe does not allow me to import it. It will not show the MPEG4 file whit the other files when I try to import. Will keep trying your other suggestions.

Top Gun , I changed your title to better reflect your question. You generally get more replies that way and it allows others to find it in a search.
