  1. I recently upgraded from Nero 5.5.8.0 to 5.5.8.2. When I burn a standard VCD, it is recognized by my Pioneer DVD player as a CD in stead of a VCD. Never had this problem with the older version. Any ideas?

  2. I have almost the same problem. When I create a VCD with the new Nero version 5.5.8.2 and try to play it in my Apex DVD player, it goes to the MP3 screen. Tried burning with the "VCD menu" unchecked...same problem. Finally, I uninstalled the new Nero and installed the old version 5.5.8.0. The VCD played perfectly. Anyone know why the new Nero won't burn VCDs correctly? Maybe I'm missing something....

  5. I had the same problem until I read a tip here - on the "Misc" tab there is a checkbox "Cache files from Disk and Network" - UNCHECK THIS - try to burn again.

  6. Thanks for the info Kitty. I'll keep that in mind if/when I install the new version again. As for now, I think I will stick with the old version of Nero. I don't really like the new interface 5.5.8.2 has anyway. Oh...one more thing...when I tried to burn audio CDs on the new version, a normalizing screen still pops up, even though I unchecked the normalizing option. The screen isn't up long enough for me to read. I wonder if it's still normalizing even when I told it not to? Has anyone else had this problem?
