ATI TV-Wonder and Virtual Dub Problem!

I'm trying to capture at higher resolutions with VDub but i can't get over the default resolution..I want 640x480..I deleted everything and installed MMC7.5 and then installed the wrappers....any help would be appriciated!!!

At first I think that ATI claims that the highest version suitable for ATI TV-Wonder is MMC 7.1.

It si quit problem I have it also. But... when you r in capture mode try to switch VD from Overlay to Previem mode. The capturing with higher resolution will be working.

Your wanting to capture at resolutions larger than 640x480??

Far out ... can you tell me something about your system ... ??? How are you getting these results ???

I was capturing at 640x480 Mpg-1 at a bitrate of 5kb. Now I can't ... my frame drop is terrible. 13% and 19 % is typical results. I use to have none ... sometimes 1% if I jiggled my mouse or if I left MemTurbo 1.2 on and then I restarted the capture again ... without the mouse wiggle and no frame drops occured at all.

I captured [Feb-March 2002] Martina McBride's Greatest Hits VHS video tape non stop for 58 minutes ... an excellent 2.3 Gig mpg ... waiting to be converted to Divx with VirtualDub or Flaskmpeg was the result. If I tried now ... it would be a waste of time.

I have the ATI Radeon DDR 64 VIVO and I capture to a Maxtor ATA 133 80 GB HD ... system runs at 1500 Mhz. CPU is AMD XP 1600 + ... Overclocked in BIOS to 1500 ... default speed is 1394 MHZ.

Hopefully you have some ideas on how to help me.

Yes in Preview mode I have also problems with frame dropping.
I have P4-2,2GHz

I tried switching to preview mode and i still get the error...i just want to capture to that resolution in the huffy codec and then convert it to svcd later....i just want the highest possible resolution. Any other suggestions?

Try using WinDVR V1.8, you can capture in 640x480
