Can anyone tell how I can find the "bookmark" folder from Firefox so I can save my addresses to a disc prior to a new install of windows? Thank you.

click on bookmarks and then "organize bookmarks"
then click on "file" -> 'export' and save file somewhere
you can re-import this file in another install"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Well, I could tell you, but an easier way to do it is to go to Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks, then in the bookmarks window that comes up, select File > Export and pick where you want to save your copy of the bookmarks.html file.
Edit: BJ_M got to it slightly faster than me...If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them? -
also, there is a Firefox add-on (at their update site) that stores your bookmarks on the web

Thanks everyone, think I will use the export feature. Have a great evening and thanks for your time and information, it is greatly appreciated.

Try FOXMARKS, it's a very handy program.
