  1. I got problem here, hope someone could help.
    I got smooth picture of avi but when i convert to mpg using TMPGENC, the result is a choppy mpg movie.

    This is the setting of my TMPGEnc:-

    MPEG-1 Video
    352x288
    4:3 625 line (PAL)
    25 fps
    CBR
    1150 kbit/sec
    Normal

  2. Is your avi a downloaded movie by any chance? If so then there is a good chance that it is encoded at NTSC (film) standard of 23.97 fps. Encode your movie at the same framerate (and matching standards) as the source and the choppy playback problem will disappear.

  3. Hi.
    I had the same problem with mpg=choppy on PAL DVD rips. The solution is to ensure that in DVD2avi you have NOT selected Force Film in the video option.
