    I can't get the wintv to record the sound when capturing a tv show, I have the line connected correctly, I think. The TV show has sound when I was recording, so can someone help me out?

    try using a different capture utility, like virtual dub

    Check Windows sound volume control, make sure Sound In is not muted.

    Double click on the volume icon at the bottom of your screen.
    Click on "Options", "Properties" then "Recording" and make sure "Line" is ticked."
    Now click "OK" then make sure "Line" is selected.
