    i want to convert a sipmons episode to my mp3 so i converted the vob file of that episode into an avi and test played it in vlc (there it has normal sound) but when i play it in windows media player there's no sound and when the converter of the mp3 player converts it onto my mp3 it has also no sound

    (i used vob2mpg and winavi)

    I would not trust WinAVI to encode anything correctly.

    What player is it ?

    What format does it require ?

    If the player software is going to encode it anyway, it would be best to avoid encoding it in between.

    Use ImToo Video converter they're the best for converting divx/xvid files to zune ipod etc...
    Well, maybe not the best for video quality but, my tv series came out with pretty good quality even with action scenes.
