Dat is actually mpeg isn't it? For VCD? What software do I use that easily and accurately converts it to a proper DVD movie?
Or if I don't want to burn it into a DVD movie, and just want a VCD, what do I do? ust drag them into Nero and burn like a regular vcd? But I have to choose that I want to burn a VCD right? Not ISO... ?
Thanks in advance.

VCDGear to extract the MPEG out of the dat file. Then you can author as DVD (you'll need to resample the audio to 48,000Hz) or author as-is to VCD. TMPGEnc DVd Author would be my option for the former and VCDEasy for the latter.
If in doubt, Google it.
