  1. Hi Friends,

I have some old important VCDs. In those Video is in .DAT format. I have saved them at my computer. Now I want to write them in video DVD so dvd can be played at DVD players. I am using Nero 7 for burning DVD but it only allows .VOB, .BUP and .IFO files. Can someone please explain the process, how can I burn dat to video DVD.

I have the idea that I may need to change dat file to vob etc.. format. but which software I should use for this. there are bunch of softwares and most of them are trial version over the web. please suggest. also after conversion to vob.., would I be able to burn a dvd video from that..

Please help as I know there are lot of experts in this field at this website.

    Many thanks
    Abhishek

DVD Ripping? Nope, moving you to our dvd authoring section.

You can try a free dvd authoring app like DVD Flick or DVD Styler or commercial apps like Tmpgenc Authoring works. Just add the dat and it will make a DVD-Video(vob/ifo). If they refuse to load the dat then convert the dat to standard mpg with vcdgear.
