Why is it that when I convert an avi or divx file to mpeg with TMPGEnc and I choose Pal 16.9 when encoding I end with the result that the picture is full screen instead 16.9?

Hi Selena21,
If you go through the project settings, there's a place where you can select the target you are looking for. You need to specify whether you want Full Screen or Centered output. My guess is you want to select Full Screen with the option to Maintain Aspect Ratio, assuming your source is in a widescreen format.
Cheers!

Now I found it.Thanks
What settings shall I choose to have 16.9 movie? I don't want it fullscreen as the people looks long in it.
If the source is not 16.9 it has to remain as that or with the new settings it will end 16.9?Hello from the island of Malta.
