Hi guys i had a little trouble with tmpgenc plus 2.5...i genrated a script with fitcd for resize of the video file i checked the anamorphic to make the screen res bigger so really i making 16:9 720 by 480 dvd by i'm a alittle lost when it comes to playing with setting in tmpgenc becaus when i load the script in and select ES video only and click setting..here are my setting for the video tab:

    stream type: mpeg 2
    size: 720 by 480
aspect ratio 4:3(or should it be somthing else)
    framrate 29.97
    rate conrol mode CBR
bitrate whatever u set it to(using the web based bitrate calculator from videohelp)
    vbv buffer size 0 (automatic)
    video format NTSC
    encode interlace
    yuv format 4:2:0
    DC component 10
motion search precision low quality fast

here are my setting for advanced tab

video source type non interlaced (becauses its an xvid)
    field order field b
Source aspect ratio 4:3 525 lines NTSC (or should it be somthing else)
    video arrangenemt method full screen

and for the rest of the stuff i left default and after i encoded it and went to author it with tda 1.6 i got an error saying video sequence header gop incorrect.. so i did alittle research and came across a forum post saying when u do ES video only u have to make sure in the GOP structure settings that 1 is set for output sequence header and 18 is set for max number of frames in GOP.. is that right? because mine didn't have that... i just want to make sure i have the right setting for the video and advanced tabs... thanks for your help...

Maybe I'm getting sleepy, but your post does not seem to communicate what you are specifically trying to accomplish. I cannot help with fitcd scripting, but you mentioned an anamorphic setting. As such, I'm assuming you had set the wrong aspect ratio. Also, you need to know the requirements of your authoring software. Some prefer closed GOPs, while others do fine with open GOPs. As for other recommended TMPGEnc Plus settings, check out this link:
