  1. I am need to test the suround sound on my system. Even though there is noise coming out of the rear channel, I have yet to hear something only come out of the rears. Anyone know where I can get a clip of ac3 audio that does this check or a good part in a movie I could have.

    I have a PC with
    SB Live! 5.1
    Klipsch 5.1 GMX set
    DVD rom
    powerdvd for ac3 decoder

The SB live has an option for it to decode the ac3 in the advanced options under speaker. I don't know if I should do this option or let the speaker set do it.

Sorry I should have mentioned that. I have been through that too and found this out

the sound only comes out of the front 2 channels when you are using the digital output (SPDIF) so that doesn't work.
