  1. Im trying to compile a VCD DVD with DVD Lab and I'm having a problem. I've done this many times before with no problm but this time I can't seem to get this right. After compiling this DVD I goto watch it before burning it, some of the chapter have scratchy audio and one chapter has no audio. The audio exists in the project and on the original files sounds fine what could be the problem?

DLP likes pcm or ac3 audio. to convert to ac3, use ffmpegGUI, not BeSweet.
I said I'll be done in a minute. I meant a Microsoft minute.

I agree to use ffmpeggui for the conversion, although I haven't found DLP to give me any problems when I've used mp2s before.

What is your source from? Is it from a dvd rip? There may be hidden chapter info still in the headers and that's known to confuse DLP.
Or is your source from a fresh conversion? Does it have closed GOPs? Did you import elementary streams or a muxed mpg into DLP?

What are your audio and video biterates? If they are variable and both go too high at a particular point, it will choke on your player and the dvd emulating software will reflect that as well.

DLP will use any legal audio format, including PCM, AC3 MP2 and DTS. Issues with MP2 audio are usually related to the players inability to play them - not all NTSC players recognise MP2 audio tracks.
