Hi, i am newbie in authoring, i made menu in photoshop and then i used dvd-lab pro 2, i have compiling problem, after i hit compile button there are not any files in new VIDEO_TS folder. I tried different videos and audios,PAL, NTSC, joined, demuxed, i tried "only movie" mode and again nothing.....i had that problem a month ago, then it somehow worked ONCE so i thought it is fine but now i have this problem again.

Does anybody heard about this problem or can tell me what can i do?

I wanted to use Adobe Encore instead of dvdlab but i cant install that program at all.

    Thanks in advance

i can send you compile report if it could be used for my help.

I wouldn't use Encore in place of DLP. Not a great program.

However the problems you are having, especially not being able to even install software correctly, would indicate you may have some major system problems you need to resolve.

That said, if you really want help, you need to give more information, and be clear about what you are doing.

    Start with

    What version of DLP ?
What type of project - PAL or NTSC ?
What is your source ? (g-spot screenshots help a lot)
How did you convert it ?
What did you convert it to ?
What does the DLP log say ?
What is your audio format ?
How did you convert it ?
Did you use elementary streams (separate audio and video files) or program streams (an mpg file) or VOBs ?

All of this will be needed to even come close to answering your question.

OK, first i want to say this, maybe i wrote it wrong but my problem with installing adobe encore is NOT that i am not ABLE to install it BUT that i am not ALLOWED to install it, when i try to i get only this error:
Adobe Encore DVD 2,0 cannot run on this computer because the processor does not support the SSE2 instruction set.

    That is for it.
    Now to your questions:

    What version of DLP ?
    DVD-lab PRO 2,27

What type of project - PAL or NTSC ?
Well, as i wrote i tried both(with different files in different projects) But the actual one can be for example NTSC

What is your source ? (g-spot screenshots help a lot)
    Format : MPEG-2
    Family : MPEG-2
    File size : 1.10 GiB
    PlayTime : 18mn 46s

    Video #0
    Codec : MPEG-2 Video
    PlayTime : 18mn 46s
    Bit rate : 9000 Kbps
    Bit rate mode : CBR
    Width : 640
    Height : 480
    Aspect ratio : 4/3
    Frame rate : 25 fps
    Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 1.172
    Delay : 19800

    Audio #0
    Codec : MPEG-1 Audio layer 2
    Bit rate : 224 Kbps
    Bit rate mode : CBR
    Channel(s) : 2 channels
    Sampling rate : 48 KHz
    Resolution : 16
    Delay : 19800
    Video0 delay : 0

It is from another program, if you need gspot screenshot, no problem
It is info about one from used file (multiplexed)...i also used this file DEmultiplexed (when i tried it another way)

How did you convert it ?
? i simply took this as asset and let it demultiplex in dvd-lab
...in another project with anothef files i used Sony Vegas 7,0 (joined files and convert to mpeg-2)

What did you convert it to ?
for example that file described upper dvd-lab demuxed to .mpv and .mpa

What does the DLP log say ?
    Do you mean compile report?
    If yes, there it is:

What is your audio format ?
well, as i wrote in upper answer it is .mpa, i also tried(in another project) .mp2 (converted in dvd-lab too)

How did you convert it ?
converting in dvd-lab or sony vegas 7,0

Did you use elementary streams (separate audio and video files) or program streams (an mpg file) or VOBs ?
    i tried all three possibilities

First and most obvious problem is that your video is not DVD compliant.

640 x 480 is a compliant resolution for NTSC or PAL. Also, 25 fps framerate is not acceptable for PAL.

Start by having a read of the What is DVD page (link top left corner of this page) and make sure that your assets meet the criteria.

Also, your log makes it look like you did a test compile with dummy assets, or that you simply haven't added assets to the project.

In your country you need PAL DVD. Your resolution for PAL DVD is 720x576, 640x480 is for DivX(Mpeg4).
25 fps is fine. Audio file is OK.
Check this site and try again. DVD lab will work on DVD (Mpeg2) not on DivX.

Thanks for advice but i tried dvd lab on another VOB file with these atributes:

    Video Attributes:
    Video compression mode: MPEG-2
    TV system: 625/50 (PAL)
    Aspect Ratio: 4:3
Display Mode: Both Pan&scan and Letterbox
    Source picture resolution: 720x576 (625/50)
    Frame Rate: 25.00
    Source picture letterboxed: Not letterboxed
    Bitrate: 8.01Mbps

    Audio Attributes:
Audio Coding mode: MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 without extension bitstream
    Sampling Rate: 48kHz
    Audio application mode: Not specified
    Number of Audio channels: 2
    Bitrate: 384 Kbps
    Number of Audio streams: 1

i did simple project (only movie) and i did NOT have checked TEST COMPILE (substitute video with dummy) like usually!
    And again? nothing
    Here is Compile report:

So do you have any other idea why it is not working?

According to your Attributes, your file is Mpeg2 compression, that does not mean DVD compliant file.
Your sub directory mention Torrent, most of the files from there will play on computer but not DVD compliant.
DVD Lab is only authoring software, it expect your file is correct type otherwise it will not compile.
Try to load trail version of TMPGEnc Express and use it to convert your file to PAL 720x576, 25fps DVD comliant type, than import in Lab asset bin (let it demux), do menu (no photoshop needed for that) and all connections, compile, it will work.

I do not know what exactly you want to do, but if you want to make DVD with all the options for menus, connections and command option DVD Lab Pro is the way to go for the price. In here you can compile to DVD9 and than use prog like DVD Rebuilder to make DVD5. It has good compression tools to do the job.
DVD lab will also let you compile DVD with 16:9 and 4:3 format on one DVD.
Other programs are somehow simpler for options. Menus are preprogrammed and there is very little you can do on your own.
Some will re encode video on there own, but will not except all the formats.
If you have more questions on DVD Lab, see there forum, there are some guys who use this software as professionals.
