position subtitles

Does anyone know how I can put the subtitles in the blackbars beneath the 'picture'. When I burn my movies on VCD the subtitles are always in the 'picture'.

Depends on what program you're using to put in the subtitles. The VobSub plugin for VirtualDub has a Y offset that you can use to shift the subtitles downward. I think DVDx has an this offset option also. I found this guide the most helpful when I wanted subtitles:
