    Hi Peeps,

    Hope you can advise. I am capturing Digital programs of my TV card in Mpeg 2 format. Its excellent quality - but takes up alot of space.

    I just need a simple tool so I can convert mpeg 2 TO XVID, DVIX or .avi is possible.

    Sounds like all you really need is a codec pack. Do a tool search for XVID/DIVX Codecs on this site and install them. Then configure your capture card software and blaze away!

    download virtualdubmpeg2 load your video in select a codec like divx and reencode to avi but ive learned with mp2 video that you need to resync audio sometimes.i do captures that way most of the time

    or avi.NET with bitrate set to 1500 kbs.
    1/3 of the original mpeg, with good quality.
