I have an album on my pc which reads as one track only but obviously with about 20 odd songs on it. I would like to separate the track so I can flick from one song to another. Which tool would you recommend to carry out this job?

theres a few ways to do it
if you were wanting to play it off your PC you could setup a cue file, and in the cue file you specify each track
if you wanted to listen to a CD then i would burn it using nero and in nero you can split the album to separate tracks -
...or Audacity, which is a free audio editor!

I looked at nero and all I could see is Audio Edit, is it that? If so, how do u use it. I never have & have no instructions and it seems really complicated

I don't know if it's freeware still, but there is a program called CD Wave that can split tracks and save them as seperate tracks, or it can generate a cue sheet so you can burn the wav to a cdr as seperate tracks.

Nero 6 Ultra Edition has an app called Nero Wave Editor. Under the Edit menu, there is an option to "Insert track split." You will also see an option to "Save tracks as Files." under the Edit menu as well.Originally Posted by skyscraper"Just another sheep boy, duck call, swan
