Divx4 Low Motion -> Divx 5 conversion

I have a Kiss DP-450 Standalone which will play Divx/Xvid encoded movies. Unfortunately, due to legal reasons it wont playback Divx4 Low Motion encoded movies so I have to convert them. This is quite easy using VirtualDub, but occasionally I get a bad frame & the conversion process stops. I don't know how to edit out the bad frame(s). When I try, the bad frame seems to pe put back in.
Can anyone help or point me in the right direction.
This has just happened with a rather fine rip of Don't say a word & I'd really like to watch this one. I'm sure it's a simple process but I haven't figured it out yet.

I think it can play DivX3.11alpha now with a firmware upgrade. It was supposed to be able to play DivX4 right out of the box.
