  1. What is a Low-Motion Divx is?
is it some kind of Divx version or something?
what does the words "Low-Motion" refers to?
    the video maybe?

any help would be much appreciated.
    TIA.

  2. It's probably old DIV3 encoded video. It is DivX, just old. The low-motion refers to the low motion version of the codec. DIV3 was used for low motion (better for low motion parts of video, but suffered in high motion sequences) and DIV4 was used for high motion (but low motion sequences suffered).

  3. O.K, thanks man.
    and...
does it necessarily means that its quality lower than, say, Divx 5, or 6?
is my DVD Player (Pioneer DV-383 DivX support) gonna have any trouble playing this specific codec version?

  4. Many players don't support the older versions of Divx. Try it on your drive and find out if it works. But I don't see any reason not to use the latest version of Divx if you're making new files.
