    I have some mpg files that I want to convert to avi files using VirtualDub, but it won't let me open them.

  2. Try using FlasKMPG, I personally use XiS Expert Edition V2 over the standard just because it seems to have rounded out what the original FlasKMPG didn't include in their final release.

    Have you tried VirtualDub V1.43.13. It will accept MPEG1 and MPEG2 files and also DVD VOB files.

    Actually, only the modified for MPEG2 versions of VirtualDUB allow this. Latest one modified is 1.5.15
    The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
